94cylcamry
Well...I thought I'd add this onto my little list of things to do to my 94 Camry. Looks to be one of the cheaper options as well. Anyway, I was looking on Andysautosport.com for strut bars, and it returned two options for my model. I was wondering if the one that is almost 100 bucks is necessarily better to get than the one that is only 20 bucks? 20 bucks almost 100 bucks So I get that one is carbon fiber based and therefore lighter....but I dunno...right now I'm trying to get the most out of my dollar. Is it worth it to get the 100 buck one just because it's lighter? Also, I've read that these are easy to install and that you don't need any special tools, just a little time. Is this true? Thanks!! Leighcm
VERY easy to install...and it won't make much difference to save a couple pounds. Check to make sure the cheaper one isn't just a complete piece of junk, but it otherwise shouldn't make much difference. I noticed a difference when I put one on both of my Supras, but I don't know how much difference you'll notice on yours until you start changing out suspension pieces, etc.
94cylcamry
Ok, thanks. I'll check around to make sure the Meghan Racing one isn't pure junk...something tells me I'll end up buying the more expensive one though, just to satisfy my conscience. Good to know that it's easy to install, though.
94cylcamry
Hey all. I haven't really seen any, but I know that rear strut/sway bars exist also. Would there be any point in getting one of these for my car? Thanks.
Leighcm
Why don't you see if you notice a difference with the front one first? Rear strut bars can be a comparative pain to install...and I've never seen one for the older Camry's...
94cylcamry
Haha ok, thanks. And hey one more question...I wanted to upgrade this car to those diamond cute headlights. Can I keep the normal bulbs for now? Would that look stupid?
Leighcm
Diamond cute headlights?
94cylcamry
Like the...really clear head lights. The brand I always see people recommending is like...DEPO Clear or something like that.... These: http://www.andysautosport.com/toyota/1992_...lights/maxzone/ EDIT: OH! Typo up there..I meant diamond CUT headlights.
Leighcm
Okay, I'm with you now. I had absolutely no idea what you were talking about when you threw in the "cute". I think you have plastic headlamp covers now, and I imagine they are probably a bit foggy because of the car's age. You could either polish them up, or replace them with an aftermarket, and improve the overall appearance.
94cylcamry
Yeah...they are the plasic ones and they are getting pretty foggy. I'd like to replace them with some of these DEPO ones from Ebay. But what I'm asking is...can I use the old bulbs with the new...holders? Leighcm
Yes, shouldn't be a problem using the old bulbs with the new assembly.

Leighcm
So when do you get the car?
94cylcamry
Well...if everything goes according to plan...it should be early April. But it's the main one I'm driving right now...
