  1. I AM NEW TO THIS FORUM, THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR HAVING THIS WEBSITE FOR MATRIX OWNERS RECENTLY PURCHASED A USED 2003 TOYOTA MATRIX XR / CHECK ENGINE CAME ON AFTER DRIVING CAR FOR 2000K MILES... TOOK CAR IN TO HAVE CHECK ENGINE DIAGNOSED AND WAS TOLD IT WAS A EVAP LEAK, I REPLACED THE FUEL CAP (NEW) RESET LIGHT AND DROVE. LESS THAN 1000 MILES LIGHT COMES BACK ON, EVAP LEAK BUT MORE DETAILED, CODES WERE PO770, PO441 and PO446... SHIFT SOLENOID, EVAP LEAK x2 .. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR THE TRANSMISSION DIDN'T GIVE ANY SIGN OF SHIFTING, DRAGGING OR SLIPPING.... I DECIDED TO START WITH EVAP... VSV?? REPLACED THE WHOLE FUEL VAPOR CANISTER... DROVE FOR 2500 MILES CHECK ENGINE BACK ON?? WHAT DID I MISS?? I DON'T WANT TO JUNK THIS CAR, STILL HAS A LOT OF LIFE ON IT, CHASSIS HAS 208K CLEAN CALIFORNIA TITLE, NO DENTS.. GARAGE KEPT! BODY IS FLAWLESS... ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED EDWARD NORCAL
