I had my '05 XRS up to 7800 RPM's the other day and it was still pulling me hard in 3rd gear.

I have a 2005 Corrola Matrix XR 4x4(same car as Corolla on hatchback). I'm getting 22-24 MPG and sluggish to start to turn the key a few times to start it everyonce in a while. Also this car doesn't shift into overdrive after a cold start...so I'm going 55 mph at 3500rpm's for about 20 seconds before it'll kick down. Toyota tells me that's by design...I thinks that's a bunch of crap. Would I buy another Matrix NOPE
