Anyone put 235/50/17s on their 04/05 or 06 Solara convertible. If so, any problems? Do they clear the struts and fenders OK? The stock size tire reeks in terms of quality choices.

Michael I was speaking with the TRD parts specialist at the dealer and he said that the 2006 convertible struts are unique to the convertible and are the same part number whether you have an SE or SLE. (I have on SLE convertible on order). If this true, then the question as to which model I have would seem moot. I believe that the struts in the SE Coupe and SLE Coupe are different, both neith is the same as what is in the ragtop. Do you have information to the contrary? Thanks for your earlier reply.

For a 2006 Solara convertible, does TRD offer the lowering springs and sway bar? Has anyone done this on the 2004 thru 2006 model? IF so, what are the pros and cons. I am looking to get a tighter ride without giving away too much comfort.
