So I assume that trying to remove it will most likely damage the spoiler and or maybe the deck lid?

I have a 97 Camry that I just bought from a private owner. It turns out that the LED brake light in the spoiler does not work. I talked to a dealer and was told that a new LED assembly costs $129.00 There does not appear to be any way to thread the wire threw the spoiler with out removing it. I removed the two mounting nuts from the underside of the deck lid, but the spoiler did not lift off. There appears to be two face tape holding it to the deck lid. Does anyone know what the trick is to get this spoiler off?
