  1. Thanks Leigh. I cant wait :) My gf tells me baseball is over but I should be able see football, basketball, hockey etc. The cities archetecture is supposed to be amazing. I guess I'm going to have to get used to these tall buildings! I have a Chicago eye witness guide so i've made a list of things to see and do. Keep your suggestions on site seeing in Chicago coming and of course advice on Corolla's. ;) Detriot is supposed to be the motor capital of the world so I've heard will have to make a weekend of it. :D
  2. Yes Oak Lawn is a suburb of Chicago.Im looking forward to Chicago but not the cold
  3. Hi Guys it’s my first post on here. I'm currently living in England but will be moving over to the states in November. I currently have a 1983 VW Golf Gti (mk1). Basically I'm after buying a AE86 Corolla and would like some advice. I don’t think they ever sold them over here so I'm pretty lost and research on the net seams to be hard work .I've always fancied a RWD Corolla and love the look of the hatchback AE86 with the pop up lights (airbrakes lol). Is there a rough guide with does and don'ts on the AE86? What should I be looking for when looking to buy. I would like to know which is the best model to go for and what my money will get me. Here is what I fancy at the moment. My budget is about $5,000. • Hatchback version with pop up head lights (is that the Trueno?) • I really like the white ones with black bonnet and decals (Panda?) • Preferable a last run of model with low miles (am I dreaming?) • RWD! • Most powerful engine I'm completyly lost with regards to the engine I've seen terms such as silvertop, blacktop etc used… what are these? Am I correct thinking there is a 1600cc DOHC 20v? Sounds like an interesting little engine ;) Ok for now that’s all I know so far! Please help in my quest to find the right car for me. I hope I've found a good place to start looking and I look forward to reading your replies. P.S If anyone has / knows of a car that I might be interested in buying please let me know!! (I will be living in Oaklawn IL.) Thanks in advance, Karl Richardson. Leeds (UK)
