  1. Interesting. I have a 94 4_cyl LE, plus the Toy OEM Manuals . Vol I, IG-10 says ... Pri Res : . cold 0.36 to 0.55 . hot 0.45 0. 65 Sec Res : . cold 9.0 to 15.4 . hot 11.4 18.1 I wonder 'why' he diff twixt `94 & `95 I4_cyl ??? I can understand the 'diff' twixt I4_cyl(coil) & V6_cyl(coil_s) . Ed
  2. ......... ............ I bought a Camry '99 (V4, Sedan) a couple of months back and it requires new tires. ??? Maybe V6( 1MZ-FE ), or I4( 5S-FE ) ??? . dia wdth . V6( 1MZ-FE ) calls for a [ 15 x 6.0 JJ ] wheel , P205/65R15 tire . I4( 5S-FE ) " [ 14 x 5.5 JJ ] wheel . P195/70R14 tire ........... I checked a few sites, and they recommend tires with spec.'s 195/70R14. But the previous owner has 205/75R14. [195/70R14] is OEM 'reccomended' , 4_cyl engines [205/75R14} mite be an "up" sized tire ... ???? Tires have 2 "main" metrics ... "section" width & height. The "195" in [195/70R14} is a measured(mm) section width ... The "70" is a ratio , a "%" ... ( (sec_height/sec_width) x (100) ) ... . sec_ht(x), therfore is "x"/195=70 ... U do the math The "R" is radial , tire construct The "14" is the (steel) wheel diameter , in =INCHES= "mm" is a different "metric" than "Inches" . SOoooo ... the wheel diameter , with tire mounted , is ; ( (sec_ht) x (2) ) + ( wheel dia ) = ..... U do math and metric conversions. Looks like [205/75R14] mite be a 'taller', overall "wheel" ... ..... U do math and metric conversions. Check the wheel "rim" width to see if [205/75R14] mounts properly. :-) ........................... I wanted to know which are the ones that i should go with now? Are there any advantages/disadvantages of 205... over the 195... Use the 'tire' that matches your engine size , and wheel size , is a safe 'bet'. Your 'speedo' is calibrated to "them" ... :-) .............. (The car has default rim's) Assumed: "wheels" that came on the car, outta the 'factory I'm not all that sure of your measurements, or data. ???? You "seem", now, to have an "up" sized tire, mounted on a "std" 14" dia. rim, w/4_cyl engine. Ed.
