All I hear is the clicking noise when I attempt to open the rear tailgate on 2012 Highlander. I had taken it to the dealer and the estimate range from 1500 to 2200 to fix the problem. I am a fairly good shade tree mechanic and believe I can repair the issue myself. All I need is some reference source to help me remove the panels without damaging them so I can get to the motor to do a little trouble shooting and or replace the motor. All help would be greatly appreciated. I have searched youtube for hours without any help. Maybe I missed a link or something. Being retired I really can't afford dealer's cost.
