  1. I took my 2019 Highlander Hybrid to a local U-Haul to have a hitch and hitch wiring harness installed. When then tech turned the vehicle on to show me that the wiring was working as intended every light on my dashboard lit up. In additionn, weird things like the windows and rear lift gate ceased working. The U-haul tech didn't have any idea what the problem could be. I immediately took my vehicle to my local toyota dealer. I now have a quote for around $4000 in work, between researching/working to identify the problem and ordering/installing a new ECU. The toyota rep stated (lamans terms here) they could not connect/talk to the ECU. They even sent it off to Japan for them to take a look; Japan says the ECU is fried. Does anyone have experience with this? Do you think I can get U-Haul to pay my bill with Toyota? All around very frustrated. Any advice appreciated. Thanks
