This is how to disconnect the top. There is another one exactly like this on the bottom. There is a connection in the back, just slide the bezel toward the rear, and it should come out of the third connection. -

I just did this a few days ago. It took me awhile too. The diagram in the repair manual is a little misleading. Let me go see if I can get a picture of it, and then I'll get back to you.
