  1. 5K - been doing 5K (with filter) since 1975 and has always worked well - uncle was a mechanic and used the 5K interval - easy to keep track since the thousand place is always 0 or 5 for the change - however, prefer new vehicles get first change at 1,500 to 2,000 and then 5K - company purchases about $12M in vehicles each year and all are placed on the 5K interval IMHO - 3K is a waste unless you're really in the SEVERE usage described in the owner's manual - 7.5K or 10K are risky when you consider the money saved Vs engine/vehicle replacement costs
  2. I'm on my 3rd HL. It's a 2006 2WD V6 and it's great! A joy to drive. No wind noise to speak of. However, the '01 and the '02 both had the door seal issue at the left rear door. Both had the seal replaced and never an issue after that. I highly suggest to all (and for every car you have) to use a silicon or rubber treatment on all of your door seals, the rear hatch seal, and the rubber seals at the front and rear of the hood. I use Armor All or Son of a Gun or whatever silicon treatment I have on hand. It helps condition the rubber and could make the seals last longer. It may also provide some additional wind/road noise reduction. I've been doing this since 1977. It made a huge difference on cars that had frameless door glass. :)
