mark_b
Hello, thanks in advance for the help. I have both a 98 avalon 60k and a 97 camry 92k. After driving avalon in very rainy weather, 3 inches in 12 hours, - but avoided any deep puddles, abs indicator started acting strangley. Starting car after 8 or so hours in wet weather causes indicator in come on. Dry weather or warm car - all is well. Without touching peddle, re-start car and all is well. Error code says right front speed sensor open. I'd love to check connections, but seems like sensor is one piece connection back under hood. Can someone please tell me how to open the unit ( where the clasps are ?) - what to look for ? Thanks again. Mark.
B-R-T
Speed sensors are not under the hood. Sensors are located on both front wheels (on all wheels with ABS). "Open Sensor" means either bad connection, either fried sensor.
