  1. Can anyone tell me where I can get a speedometer for my 2006 Solara that registers in miles and not kms? I do not want to do anything illegal, and I was told that as long as the mileage is registered the same it is fine. My neighbor did this with his 2001 Camry when he moved here to the US, but he does not recall the dealer he purchased it from. Thanks...

  2. Has anyone else (besides me) had the material from the back of the convert. top at the back window separate? This happened once before, and was replaced under warrantee. The new cars have this defect fixed. Is there a hidden warrantee due to the poor design of the tops? Also, I am still waiting for an answer to my problem of my top not going down or up. I hear a click, the windows go down, and nothing happens. I do not have a partition, and the top is not attached in the front. Thanks

  3. Does anyone have any comments regarding the Bridgestone Potenza tires that come on the 2004 Solara?

I had a blow out today and while surfing the web regarding comments relating to these tires, I found this website and joined today. I also found some not so nice comments regarding the tires that come with the car. Any suggestions for replacement tires for the Bridgestone Potenza tires?

I have had 2 sets of the Potenza tires with no problems at all. My car came with Michelin, and had nothing be problems with them. A friend of mine owns a tire wholesale company, and he highly recommended the Bridgestone Potenza tires. He was right.

  4. Can someone advise me as to how to fix my convertable top. I push the button to lower/raise the top,and I hear a click in the back ( where the motor is ) and nothing else. The windows go down like normal, but the top does not move. If I had a wiring diagram I could fix it. Someone told me there is a relay that becomes defective. Is this true? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. It is a 2001

does the solara have a partition section for the boot? if so, the roof wont go down if you dont have that across...

Also, this might sound a little silly, but have you unclipped the front?

There is no partition section for the boot. It is a 2001. Originally it was in the down position, and I had to hand pull it up.
