  1. My 2003 Avalon rides okay on smooth roads but does not handle larger imperfections in the road very well at all. I bought the car used, it now has 67,000 miles. The suspension feels like it is "weak in the knees". I am going to replace the struts in hope of a firmer ride. Has anyone had experience with

KYB (G2), on Monroe sensatrac, or Toyota OEM replacements? Also any advice on replacing the mounts and the spring supports at the same time?

I had the front struts on my 96 Avalon 163,000k miles replaced recently and also had them replace the tower bearing while in. Just had the rears done recently and the car rides nice and firm now. All aftermarket rebuilt parts.

  2. We owned 2000 Avalon since new. Has 254,000 KM on odometer.

Would be interesting to know............who has the Avalon with most mileage?

Certainly not the most, but our original owner 96 has 163,000. Been repainted, new timing belt, new front struts, new rack and pinion, new cv joints, new rear struts. Oil, brakes, and tires every now and then. Best car value for my money EVER.... Not sure I would even part with it after my daughter graduates from college in two years. Just to prove a point, I may hang on to it. The Avalon Energizer Bunny!!!!!!! Engineered in Japan and built in Georgetown, KY. Detroit can't even touch that quality..
