[Fuse Box]

I found the fuse box, and all the fuses were OK.

The rear lights don't come on - I changed all the bulbs but they are all intermittently working. Sometimes they will light up, other times they won't. Luckily the rear lights come up when I back-up and the signal lights work. When I press the brake that's then the [R] lights-up on the dash and there is another symbol that shows the card with the rear lights "active" which I read in the manual means that there is a problem with the lights.

I took my car to a mechanic and he thinks that there is a relay/sensor that has burned out - can anyone confirm that this is what it could be? From Toyota, the sensor is around $250.00 but I may be able to pick it up from an auto wrecker for a lot less.

[Fuse Box]

I've had my brake light and engine trouble light come on on my car. It is a 2001 Totyota Camry LE 4-cyl.

I've read the manual and it mentions several fuse boxes - however I can not for the life of me find the one that has the fuses for the tail lights etc.,

I've changed all the bulbs on the back of the vehicle, yet the light is still on. I'm thinking that it must be the fuse...

Can anyone direct me to where the heck this fuse box is??

[2001 Camry trouble code 1155]

The malfunction indicator lamp went on. We checked the book it said to take vehicle to Toyota dealer. Local garage put car on scanner and said 1155 trouble code was the cause. Anybody know the meaning of the 1155 code? Thanks.

The code 1155 is listed as P1155 Air/Fuel Sensor Heater Circuit. (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

I've got the same problem with my 2001 Toyota Camry, really hoping it's not transmission or anything else major. It's not had to have any major servicing since I purchased it other than regular maintenance. I've hesitated taking it to Toyota dealership as they run around $100.00/hour - the last time I took it a simple diagnostic ended up leading me to spend over $600.00 !!!

It's a 4 cylinder as well, LX model.

Got to say that I've been SUPER happy with my 2001 Toyota Camry. Purchased in 2000 and wasn't quite sure about it, but 8 years later its still going strong - NO mechanical issues whatsoever and it's one of the Japanese built vehicles.

In comparison, my old (and now gone) Chevrolet Corsica was a bucket of bolts: paint peeling, changed the battery at least 6 times in 10 years, changed the alternater yearly.

The car has been very dependable, and to this day I've not heard any squeeks or thuds. It's get-up and go, is still there.

I can't see myself ever owning a North American vehicle again (GM/FORD/CHRYSLER).
