ohh yeahhh. one problem though my highbeam on the right side is non operational :/ have to call them and ask for a replacement. How my kit works is, its 1 bulb and when i turn on my high beam the bulb moves to the correct position to shine the light higher (instead of a normal twin filament halogen bulb, my car has a single filament xenon bulb), the method works like a charm on the drivers side headlight, but on the passenger side the light goes Down when i turn on my highbeams...so i gotta ask them what to do, or send me another bulb. we shall seee but in the meanwhile my low beams are blinding motorists who are too hypnotized by the blue color to look away!

Nice, I like the license plate lights, but be careful w/those lights, I got a ticket 4 them but I had them as my parking lights in the front; apparently blue is a cop color or something. Did you change the brake, reverse & signal lights yet? Post up a couple a pix of the engine bay so I can see the setup & maybe I can figure out where you might have gone wrong...

  2. Hey there, here's something I found that you might like. It's clear corner lights for your Camry, it's really tough to find anything for the '97-'99 Camry's. But I've managed to find clear-out parking lights & Whits-outs for the rear signal lights. It's next to impossible to find stuff for this year, they have a lot of stuff for the '00-'01's, but the lights on those are bigger than your's so they won't fit. See if you like these.

  3. ahh. also did you see how he put the ground cable on the negative side of the battery? he just unscrewed a small bolt and put that ground cable on and screwed it back on, could i do the same for my positive terminal even though it doesnt have support for the extra inputs?

Well, I can't tell you w/out really seeing a specific picture of your engine bay, but if you have terminals like that which have bolts on the top, then you can just take off that bolt on the top & put the ground wire on there & then put the bolt on top if it & you should be set.

  4. I found this vid online, and it looks pretty similar to what i'm going to do, think those ballast mounting points are good spots?

That's how to do it, but the reason I was asking you faor a specific picture of your engine bay is if you notice the battery terminals on the YouTube video, he has the terminals that support the extra inputs. Otherwise you have to take the terminals off & put the rings on the appropriate sides, & put the battery terminal on.

  5. Hi I have a 1998 camry and just bought a HID kit for my headlights and needed some help on installation. I can wire it all up correctly but 1 instruction is to connect the high/low beam controller to the positive end of my battery terminal...and unfortunately i've never dealt with doing anything to my battery before besides jumping the car so i was wondering how should i go about doing this? here is a photo of the instructions that came with my HID kit. thanks!

my car is the top photo H4 Bi-Xenon headlights.

Hey, where are you located, I'm in New Jersey. If you are close to me, then maybe we can get together & I can help you install them. But as far as the HID's are concerned, the way you hook it up to the battery is that you take the terminals off & then put 1 of the grounds on the proper spots & then put the terminals over them. Before you do that, take a picture of your engine bay, I just want to see something.

  6. I have a 98 camry and i was interesting in replacing most of my exterior lights with LED lights So i wanted to know if anyone had any experience doing so? My one question was that, i once saw a old lexus LS400 that had its brake lights replaced with LED's and that made the car think that the brake lights were fused so the indicator light came on. My car also has that same indicator system, so i wanted to know if anyone put LED bulbs in their camry and if it made the fused brake light indicator come on?

Yes, I've changed all my lights to LED's. First, you want to go to this website...Sylvania Bulb Replacement Guide. On that website, you will find all the bulb sizes for your car, you can change all the bulbs except for the headlight/high beams. Then, use this site to order your lights, they have a cross-reference guide right on this website...SuperBrightLED's (try to put everything under 1 bill so you can save on the shipping). W/some of the bulbs, you won't need to reference them, but for most of them, you will. Now, for the signal lights, you will have to order "Load Resistor's," you will need 4 (1 for each corner). The reason being, is that every car has a certain frequency that standard bulbs understand & the car's computer is programed to send out that frequency to the bulb. Now, LED's use a different frequency, since the car's computer doesn't know that, it sends what the computer is programed to send. These load resistors simulate the load that the LED's understand, otherwise they will blink fast. Here's a link on how to install them...Load Resistor Intallation Guide I would suggest that you wire 2 resistors to each of the back signal lights to ease the complication of the fact that you have 3 wires that go to the signal light bulb in the front (1 for the parking light, 1 for the signal, & 1 for the hazards). It's fairly simple (everything is plug-n-play), the only real complication is installing the resistors. Well, in a nut shell, this is all that you really need to know, if you actually go ahead w/it, keep us posted, take pix, & if you have any questions, just let me know.

  7. i notice that you have the blue bulbs in the parking lights but aren't they illegal? i mean they have to stay on when u turn the headlights on?

haven't u been pulled over yet?

Yea, they are illegal, but so, far I haven't been pulled over. If I do, I will take them out, when I have inspection, I will have to take them out. But I will wrry about that when the time comes. If I get pulled over, then I will take them out, but it's like tints, they say it's illegal, but most of the time they don't care. My signal lights are seperate from the parking lights so it shouldn't be a problem.

  8. Hey...thanks for the feedback, now my friend has a zenon kit but it don't work on his car b/c his headlights & highbeams are one bulb so if we can't get it to work, I will take them & put them on my car but I have 8,500k° bulbs which look nice but they are only really visible @ night. If I put there in, maybe they will be noticible even in the daytime. I also want to detail the car b/c there are a lot of scratches & stuff all over it. After I take care of all the scratches, I want to get pin-striping done on my car, nothing fancy, just like the ones that come out of the factory, just to give it an individual look.

  9. Hey all...

I just thought I'd put up pix of my dad's '91 Camry DX. We just got this in February. This too only had 74k miles but we got it for only $700. It had a few problems, like the car was stuttrering when you initially hit the accelerator, it would stutter a little bit and then it would pick up and it would do that in between each gear & it had some problems starting. We later disocvered that it was the timing that was off by a little bit. So, we changed the timing belt & adjusted the timing & it's working perfectly now. My dad had an '88 Camry Wagon & that had a lot a issues so we decided we're gonna junk it. My uncle's have the same kind of car so we were gonna just keepn' it for parts, then I found this & I pulled the radio & the clock out of the old wagon to put into this. All this car needs now is an alignment & possibly a CV boot b/c there is a knocking noise that comes when you trun the wheel to the right, but that's all there really is to report. As you can see from the pix, it's in pretty good shape, just minor rust (expectable for a car this age). Well enough of that...here are th pix...

  10. I just recently changed the headlight b/c I got the 8500k° bulbs. I also changed the parking lights to LED's. I think they look really nice...I put before & after shots to show u the difference...
