No...they are set up to use regular fuel. Any upgrade in octane is really just a waste of money because you're not going to get any better mileage, the car isn't going to run any better...you're not giving your car "a treat" as I've heard people say.
I herd someone say that treat line too. Thank you I was getting mixed information.

Another question?
What octane level rating would people recommend for my Echo 2002?
Do these cars need premium? :!:

In the cup holder for the rear passengers (Between the two front seats) there seems to be a screw cover missing. If I look directly into the cup holder I see a screw which seems to always have a red liquid on it even after trying to wipe it. Should I be concern? Is there a cover that should be on top of this?
Thank you,

Probably due for your 5 year/60k service...minor tuneup, tire rotation, possibly timing belt.
Check out this link for the maintenance schedule for your car:
Thank you Toyota Guru! That site is amazing.

I'm from Burlington, Ontario and just purchased a Echo 2002. Any hints on maintenance or suggestions for this model?
Thank you

Yet again I have a question. My car doors are frozen shut. HAs anyone had any problems with this and suggestions to mend it?
