Royalroadie
Hello All: I'm new to Highlander ownership and this forum, hoping to learn and contribute. My 2018 XLE has a towing capacity of 5000 lbs. I've installed a Curt Class 3 13200 and a 7-pin brake controller. Does anyone have experience with a similar Highlander towing a travel trailer with dry weight between 3500 and 3900lbs, and dry hitch weight between 360 and 410lbs? Also, if you've made use a a WDH with sway-control, can you recommend a weight distribution hitch that's worked well with your Highlander? elopomorph
I don't have anything to offer but I have the same vehicle (2018 highlander XLE) and am looking at getting a trailer hitch for it. So I will be following this post.
SBSteve
I have a 2018 Limited and tow a TT around 3200 lbs using a Blue Ox weight dist hitch. Bought it on eTrailer and had my RV shop do the install. Blue Ox seemed to have the best reviews and praise for its ease of use. They have various models depending on the weight of your TT. I've been very pleased with mine. Gives a solid stable ride with no sway.
