Mika Camry
I have a toyota camry 1994 2.2 litre 5SFE engine and manual gearbox. My problem is stalling/flexing idle and up and down idle depending if it's cold and dry weather when its quite good but when wet and not cold weather its big problems. I have replaced map sensor, throttlehouse, iac valve, intake air sensor, spark plugs, ingition cables, tempereature sensor to EFI.Now i will change ECU. Does anybody have a solution to my problem. Toyota Owners Club
I would say at first glance that its a vacuum leak on the inlet manifold side of the engine. Any component that has a vacuum hose or is somehow linked to the inlet manifold needs to be checked and even spray some brake cleaner near the areas to see if it is drawn in and burnt in combustion which will raise the revs momentarily. Other methods (safer ones!) would be smoke generator to see where any smoke is coming from within the engine. Also, an exhaust gas analysis will show an excessive oxygen content (should be 0%)
