77corona Posted July 27, 2006 Share Posted July 27, 2006 i have a 77 corona with the a40 in it but it doesnt do so good on the highway. the gear are to low with it being only a 3 speed. i was looking and found that the a40d is a 4 speed. was wondering if anyone has done a swap like this, or if there would be a better swap for this application. Also my throttle pressure cable on my current A40 is stuck, so I have no kickdown capability right now. Anyone familiar with this problem, or know where I can get a cable? Thanks.
