xjon
My son has a 2009 Camry (4-cyl) that has an intermittent problem with starting. We seem to have narrowed it down to being able to disconnect the battery terminal connectors for a few seconds and then reconnecting them. After that, it starts up like a charm. Makes me think there is something in the ECU that is reset by doing this. Anyone run into this issue? We got a new battery a couple of months ago. Replaced it again under warranty a few days ago (this may not have been needed but they let us do it). Autozone and O'Reilly read 13.4 volts from the alternator. Autozone said replace it, O'Reilly said keep running it. Their checks say the starter is OK. My son took it to our nearest Toyota service and they can't find anything wrong. Charged him $50 and said they replaced a battery terminal. Any advice is appreciated.
