culturejunkie
Hey all, I'm new to the group, as I just bought a 2007 Matrix (base model). It's a great car and has almost no issues, but one is that the rubber seal on the hatchback is kind of falling apart and needs replacing. I was surprised to see that buying at Toyota, it's going to cost over $100. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and can recommend a more cost effective solution. Thanks in advance for any help.
Toyota Owners Club
Hi....welcome to the Forum There are companies out there that sell rubbers suitable for window channel, etc and usually sell it by the metre. This is the case for classic cars but not sure who to contact for specific vehicles so you may need to google it to find one
culturejunkie
Thanks, yeah, I had done an initial google search but came up empty as to specific recommendations. Thankfully, I'm in California so not much extreme weather/rain here. It can wait a while.
