brianx51
i get an audible tap/click kind of sound seconds after putting car into gear (it's an automatic) upon starting the engine. it can also be slightly felt at the brake pedal. is this a valve in the antilock brakes...and is it normal? it happens every time. it only happens once after starting/putting into forward gear. XR2003
Sorry to revive an old - dead thread. But that clicking is the VSV (Vacuum Switching Valve). It is normal. Sounds louder if you have an aftermarket intake.
