D. Dykstra
Bought new air filter and PCV for 2002 Camry, but can't figure out how to install them. Our US made cars install in 10 seconds.
stevelaw
Your air filter has a small bolt in each corner. They need to be removed, with a 10MM wrench, I believe. Undo them and lift the cover up: the air filter comes right out. You might as well clean out the leaves and any other dirt that's in the bottom of the filter housing while you are at it. Put the new filter in, and put the bolts back in. There is another air filter: it's the cabin air filter inside the glove box. Are you trying to replace that? How many miles are on the 02? I ask because you may be able to get away with cleaning the PCV valve out without replacing it.

stevelaw
I'd try cleaning out the PCV valve with Gumout before replacing it. Only 35K on it. Car has 36000 miles on it. Thanks for infor on air filter.
