MC-car-guy
Greetings all: I own a 2004 HL with a 3.3 motor, with 85000 miles. I have been looking at aftermarket and OEM brake parts with the idea of having the brakes done on my Highlander one-more-time. I have had the brakes done, in parts, almost twice, if one counts all the parts that have been replaced: rotors, pads, and one caliper. Here is my issue: with all the aftermarket parts available, some of them offering lifetime warranties, what is the best case scenario that awaits me by using aftermarket parts? I am hoping someone with experience will reply about the extent to which going with aftermarket parts is a better or worse decision than staying with OEM. Regards. . . easywind
If you go to a chain to have your brakes done you will wind up doing them over and over. As far as rotors go either get OEM or slotted and drilled rotors made in the USA out of good steel.
MC-car-guy
Thanks for your reply, and encouragement to take a reasoned chance and buy non OEM brake parts. Would you happen to have any suggestions for reptable US companies that market drilled and slotted rotors?
