Repair of Deep Scratch

I have several deep scratches (through the paint to the black undercoat). I have a Toyota Paint Repair Kit but it seems to be for less critical repairs. My Toyota Camry is Metalic Silver.

1. Can I use this Repair Kit for a deep scratch? If yes what is the recommended way to use the Repair Kit?

2. What other way can I remove the deep scratch if the Repair Kit won't work?

I don't want to take it to a body shop.
