Need to tighten belt (not alternator) on 5th gen tercel dx. It looks like the jack screw underneath ac compressor might do it has any one doen this?

counter clockwise add tension ...appreciate a heads up.

welcome to the forum

i think the way u want to tighten the belt that runs the compressor and powerstering is to losen

the nut in side the pully that is near the top of the front of engine turn the nut on top if the jack screw clockwise

until u get the proper tension then tighten the big nut insid the idler pully again , careful not to overtighten

its easy to do .
