Broadcaster
2/24/2011 10:49:00 AM Another massive recall for Toyota. Two million vehicles are being recalled for potential sticking gas pedals. Toyota will recall approximately 270,000 vehicles in Canada to correct sticking accelerator pedals on specific Toyota Division models. Toyota says it has investigated isolated reports of sticking accelerator pedal mechanisms in certain vehicles without the presence of floor mats. The company says on their website 'there is a possibility that certain accelerator pedal mechanisms may, in rare instances, mechanically stick in a partially depressed position or return slowly to the idle position'. Toyota's accelerator pedal recall is confined to the following vehicles: * 2009-2010 RAV4, * 2009-2010 Corolla, * 2009-2010 Matrix, * 2005-2010 Avalon, * Certain 2007-2010 Camry, * 2010 Highlander, * 2007-2010 Tundra, * 2008-2010 Sequoia No Lexus Division or Scion vehicles are affected by these actions. Also not affected are Toyota Prius, Tacoma, Sienna, Venza, Solara, Yaris, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, and select Camry models, including all Camry hybrids. www.toyota.ca for more specific information. humanoid
It's not officially a "new" recall per se, but they just "expanded" the first one to cover more vehicles.

Leighcm
Yeah, I have thoughts of doing that too...they run forever, I could probably drive my car for the next 20 years if I take good care of it. There's a lot of temptation as the new models come out too.
