Well, after a couple years of unemployment and driving 4000 miles a year, I thought I'd die before I got to 300,000.

Then I found a job way across the other side of LA. 700 miles of commuting a week.

For the last 4 months and 13000 miles, I've burned( and crawled ) along the 405, 101 and 118.

Because I start at 5:45am and set off back at 6:45pm I frequently cruise at 70-75mph. Without a problem.

Original engine, one rod replaced @ 230,000. 3rd clutch at 260,000, stick shift, "runs great".

I plan on reaching the big "3" on the cliffs overlooking Corona del Mar.

Will post pictures.

That's LA for you...I think "traffic jam" whenever someone says "405". Toyotas are incredible, aren't they? Lots and lots of miles, especially on some of those pickups. Send the pics when you hit that 300k at Corona del Mar!

Traffic in SoCal should be defined by ALL the freeways. 405 is just the one that gets mentioned the most.

300,000? Your truck is still considered new after over 500,000 miles. :D
