unbelievableny Posted July 6, 2008 Share Posted July 6, 2008 I have a 1987 ae82 5 door hatchback with what I believe is a 4 cylinder 4a-lc transverse engine carburated I was asked will this fit into a 1987 sr5 from someone who overheated there engine and wanted to do a simple direct drop in no hassle swap Arent these the same engines even though one is in a rear wheel drive an done is in a front wheel drive The engine in there is a 4ac Are these exactly the same?
