CDreier
I’m about to purchase a new 2022 XLE with numerous options. The gas mileage of the 4 cylinder engine appeals to me. Since I’m now getting older and most of my driving is around town I think this is enough power - even for the occasional road trip. Would you 4 cylinder owners chime in, hopefully with reassurance. Thanks.
Toyota Owners Club
Four cylinders in the Camry are fine, the V6 is better for performance but a lot more fuel consumed so occasional long trips is fine and local town work is even better
Midlandr
I've had two four cylinder Camry's a 2012 SE and now a 2023 XLE, both run like a scalded rabbit. I have to complaints at all. I've regularly passed on two lane roads and had no problems hitting 90-100 mph to get around a vehicle or three. I'd like to try a v-6, but I do like the 35-38 mpg in the '23 (32-35 in the '12).
