KMSeattle116
Had anyone had any issues with their paint peeling on the Ruby Flare Pearl color of their Highlander? My car started to peel after the first day over 80 degrees and it’s been expanding since then.
Toyota Owners Club
Is it only restricted to where the paint is peeling from plastic panels?
nate 2000
We also have 2021 Highlander, with ruby flare red paint. We noticed cracking on our car last week. It's located almost in the middle of the hood. The size is about 1.5 inches x 1 inch. The collision center @ the dealership here in south Florida said that it's not covered under the warranty. He said that's likely due to bird dropping or some other external element. There have been many bird droppings on our other cars before and some staying on there unnoticed for long periods of time, but we've have never seen cracking like this resulting from a bird dropping or anything else for that matter. Jeff Peabody
Bird poop will destroy the paint on a car if left on there for periods of time. I have the same paint job on my 21 Rav4 and I wipe off bird poop as it happens. I have it garaged also but birds have destroyed paint on my other cars like the damage you have. Sorry for your loss
