Hi, I'm about to buy a 2005 Toyota Highlander (Limited V6 4WD), and want to install a tow package. Any suggestions about what kind to get and if it's significantly better to do it at a dealer versus a Uhaul? Also, are there any, suggested performance parts / upgrades I should consider installing (e.g., to improve its towing capacity, which seems a bit modest -- esp. at higher elevation, and I'm nearly at 6K feet)? Thanks!
I've recently purchased a 2001 Avalon LX. I noticed that when I hit small to medium size bumps in the road I hear a clunking sound from somewhere in the rear end. I did some research and found a few posts suggesting it was the rear sway bar bushings and that it is a common problem with Toyota sedans. Could this be the case? Also I'm hearing a strange sound from the front when I hit bumps that sounds almost like a blow out valve on a turbo. A rushing air sound that lasts for barely a second. Lastly, I can't seem to find any performance or cosmetic aftermarket parts. I know several mechanical parts are interchangeable with the Lexus ES300 and the Camry but is there a good source of cosmetic products out there? Such as euro lighting, body kits, etc? Any help would be awesome. Thanks.
Hi I Have a 1991 Hilux V6 3.0 Extended Cab, it was my Fathers' truck which he bought a few days before I was born, passed down to me when he bought a 2009 Tacoma V6 SR5, It was and still is relatively well taken care of, I'm trying to find some performance parts for it, I'm not looking to turn this thing into formula 1 race car, just want to get some more performance out of it, and also to get the best mpg out of this 22 year old truck. I know that there weren't many performance parts made for these trucks anyway. I was wondering If anyone knew where, or who made performance ignition coils for the V6 engine, so far I have only found stock replacements. On the other hand I have found plenty of performance ignition coils for the smaller 4 cylinder engine version of the truck, but why they would make performance ignition coils for the smaller engine baffles me... If anyone has any info on this, it would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone could give me a few other performance upgrade options it would also be appreciated.... thanks!
