I made it home and turned off the engine but had the radio playing as I finished reading mail. After a few minutes, the radio got staticky then faded out completely. I turned the ignition off completely then attempted to start the car and it would not start. I tried several times to start the car. Twice it clicked and one time it did nothing. After about an hour I tried again and it turned over real slow but did not start. The next morning it turned over slowly but did start so I took it to the dealership. After a 3 hour wait, I was as told the battery tested good and the starter passed the test. The car has started continuously since the first episode. But I’d like to know the cause so I can get it corrected before I end up stranded somewhere. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what is going on?

I just got my Wisconsin license plate renewal notice and saw a new item - a hybrid tax for $75. Upon further investigation, I discovered that it's applied to hybrid vehicles with battery capacity not less than 4 kWh, to make up for loss of gas tax revenues. I've never had to pay that tax before despite owning the 2017 Prius since early 2017, so I was wondering what the capacity of the battery is. Does anyone know?

I have a slight battery drain on my 2003 Matrix. Has anybody had this problem and solved it? I saw an owner of a different model Toyota report his battery drain was caused by a faulty automatic door lock. My email is: mike@mikejbaron.com if you wish to email me. Thanks for any help you may provide!

Hi Our 2013 Avalon has had a unfortunate life the past 6 months or so. It has failed to start several times resulting having the battery jumped and replaced. Now it has been towed to the dealership service center. I have been told that it must be driven often to keep the battery in shape. We are retired and sometimes the car does not get driven for 3 - 5 days. I would think that a battery should keep it's charge for a longer time. I have been told that the new cars have so much electronic items running while the car is resting. Has anyone experienced this dilemma with newer Avalons? Thanks

Hey all, I own a Prius as well, but this is actually a call for help about my Certified Pre-owned 2007 Hybrid Highlander. I have recently experienced a fairly steep drop-off in fuel economy. ~20%, such that my Highlander is now struggling to get 20mpg where it used to get 25. The new lower number is about what my friend is getting with his 2007 non-hybrid, slightly worse. I know, I know, different driving styles, air-pressure in the tires..... I have brought it into the dealer but their tests did not reveal any problems. I suspect very strongly that the hybrid batteries have begun to loose their potency. My local dealer has no additional diagnostics beyond a red-light, green light test. Has anyone out there replaced their hybrid batteries, diagnosed them or seen similar fall-offs in economy? Thanks for your help.

Hey all, So I am the owner of a Certified Pre-owned 2007 Hybrid Highlander. As my car crossed the 50k mile marker, my fuel economy dropped off by about 20% and has continued to decline.
