  1. Greetings. New member, first post. I am trying to help a friend with a 2009 Vibe GT 2.4 manual trans car with 180k miles. The CEL will illuminate with 5 EVAP codes: P043E, P2419, P2402, P2401, and P043F. When I clear the codes, which I have done several times, they return, usually in the same order, within 300 to 600 miles. There are no driveability issues. The independant shop, that he goes to for other work, has told him that he needs a new PCM, for over $1k. Does anyone here know of any threads, or have any knowledge that would agree or disagree with this diagnosis.
  2. Oh yes, one more question. When the CEL illuminates with these EVAP codes, the VSC warning lamp illuminates as well as the warning lamp that is a symbol of a car in a skid. Why would these warning lamps illuminate for EVAP codes? Please help!
