I just purchased a new 2012 Rav4 4cyl 4WD vehicle and I just love it except for one thing that has been making me scratch my head. I have owned it for a couple of months now and I find that the gas mileage I have been getting is really low. I have been averaging 12 mpg and that somehow seems unbelievable! I know that the vehicle is rated as getting 21 in the city and 27 on the highway. I have seen it stated that the average is 24mpg. I am getting only 1/2 that. Does anyone out there who owns this same SUV have the problem I am talking about? If so, can you shed some light on this matter for me? I would really appreciate any feedback on this. Thanks
