New Toyota Shopping Experience
Toyota Owners Club replied to Ron Evans's topic in General Toyota Discussions
That is a tough one! it does pay to drive the vehicle you are interested in before ordering even to see if you can fit in it (have read posts before that some people are too tall or legs to long and it just doesn't work) Since Covid and also more relevant is the Semi-Conductor issue causing lack of vehicles on showroom forecourts. This and general world-wide economics have lead to the dealerships taking orders for new builds and secondhand cars are now sought after by the car-buying public or independent auto traders. One possible solution is to find the car you are interested in at a auto rental company local to you and test drive it for the day (although it will cost you it would put your mind at rest that it is the car for you). Obviously if you have a choice of a few then this can get expensive in the long run but if it was just the one model you have narrowed it down to then it is an option? -
Would be nice to think they would do as its a great promotion / advert for their product

Hi....welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard! -
We can move this post to the General Toyota Chat section if you like as it would get more views and responses from all Totoya owners regarding their mileage?
-
Is it the 'Chiming' that you get to let you know the door is open or is it the security alarm that shrieks as though the car is being stolen?

Updated software for Navigation system 2014 Prius v
Toyota Owners Club replied to Adrienne's topic in Prius Club
There are a few online sellers for SatNav updates and cheaper than the dealer charges -
Prius V not registering outside temp correctly in hot weathe
Toyota Owners Club replied to Cooker's topic in Prius Club
that's quite a variation but cannot say that ambient air temperature sensors measure that accurately -
I would recommend taking the car to the dealer with the electrical issues you are describing unless you have a local specialist that is expert in this hybrid system

4 wheel drive dash lights weird!!!
Toyota Owners Club replied to 20054runnerguy's topic in 4 Runner Club
Is there a small bore hose that should connect to the transfer case and/or front axle, as these can break and leak which can cause this light to come on -
ABS light on along with my 4Lo flashing
Toyota Owners Club replied to sandor's topic in 4 Runner Club
I would check the battery condition as this can cause many strange issues if under par Check and replace if necessary and then look for any other faults with the electrical system (e.g. poor ground leads or connections) -
As long as the rolling diameter is the same all round then it should be fine

1993 MR2 fog light assembly question
Toyota Owners Club replied to Bayoublaster400's topic in MR2 Club
view from the rear of the front bumper.....looks like a bracket is used to secure the lamps to the bumper I would imagine any bracketry should come with the foglamps -
I think the key word here is frequent acceleration and this is a major cause of higher fuel consumption. My belief is that if you are on a freeway and you need to overtake then this will cause the fuel efficiency to drop. By using Eco Mode then the performance will be reduced and this will aid fuel consumption. However, on a freeway, the level of regeneration is also reduced so the benefit of the hybrid system will not be realised and this won't boost economy. I would keep it in Eco and see how you get on, maybe switch between the two to see any difference on the economy read out

I'm guessing they have ordered a new system to replace it, at no cost?

Its the only sure fired way to determine if the issue is with something as simple as an exhaust leak.....sometimes the techys don't look at the fundamental stuff first.

illuminated temperature control buttons 2021 sienna xse
Toyota Owners Club replied to wfsjr's topic in Sienna Club
Not sure if there is an adjustment to be made via the instrument panel controls (same as brightness for the instrument display panel) Check handbook or ask dealer about how to access it -
Loss of right side steering wheel controls
Toyota Owners Club replied to Harlan's topic in General Toyota Discussions
Are the left hand controls for audio as well? I'm sure there are patch leads to get the steering wheel controls to work with aftermarket audio systems. May have to run through an interface but if the wheel controls aren't that crucial to the function of the systems then maybe avoid an expensive workaround -
Toyota fan - new to forum
Toyota Owners Club replied to Yell07's topic in New Members Area - Just signed up? Come and say Hi!
Hi Yell07 ...welcome to the Club Wow! you certainly have, or had some fine cars over the years. Both the Supra and the BMW are superb collectable cars now and would desire either of them I'm pretty sure the Cruiser will be immortal so no worries there 🙂 Good to have you onboard! -
That would be very expensive indeed. maybe find a good independent garage to carry out the necessary work and prioritize the list to do the most essential items first
