How can I tell if it is the solenoid or if it is the starter without changing the one at a time. Is there any thing I can do to test either of these.

Thanks for the input. I will give it a shot any info on taking it out would be helpful.

Any Idea how difficult it is to change the starter motor?

The car does not have an alarm system and the lights and radio do work. If I turn the key enough it finally gives in and starts. Ignition switch? Starter? The other thing I noticed was a noise almost like a vaccuum leak? not sure

My 94 corolla has a new battery, when I turn the key I get a clicking noise, but the car does not turn over. Starter???? Where is the starter located on this car.
