  1. At that price point, I'd start with Craig's list. It's free, but make sure you post pics, and watch out for scammers (if it sounds too good to be true, or a little weird, it's a scam).
  2. I'd love to see the headlights. That sounds like they'll look really good installed. You're doing all this suspension/handling work...have you been doing any racing? I'm really thinking about getting some kind of sports car to replace my GS, and we have some great tracks just outside Vegas, not to mention some wide-open roads (check out http://www.springmountainmotorsports.com). All of those newer Lotus have Toyota motors...hmmm.... So how are you getting away without having the front plate? Don't you have to have those in CA? Or don't they pull people over for it? I like that little metal "Matrix" thing you have instead. Probably some old fat ugly chick at photobucket that has nothing better to do with their time (I know, wildly politically incorrect, but it sure seems like that's usually who it is that has a problem with bikini girls.) If they don't like it, don't look at the photos...easy solution. Me, I'm also jealous that I'm not in that kind of shape, but I've sat through enough photo shoots to know that it's really hard work, and not as easy as you'd think. Imagine if you had to be outside in a swimsuit and 4 inch heels in 50 degree weather, wind, etc., for hours on end, and you have to work out constantly for that privilege for not as much money as you would think. Not fun. Find some other site that's not so nitpicky to host pics.
  3. No parts, sorry...it looks like a fun project though. I like those old Celicas and Supras. You're not far from Toyota corporate offices in Hebron. It's probably a really long shot, but have you considered contacting them? I think that office is some sort of parts distributor.
  4. If you want to change routes in the middle of driving, don't you have a voice command button? Just use that. On the bluetooth, have you programmed your phone to connect to the car? There are also volume controls to raise the sound.
  5. If you don't want to spend the $200, just buy one that's slightly older than the latest version for a LOT less...eBay, etc.
  6. That's bizarre...it's not like it was naked girls or anything. Weird. There's a lot of other sites out there that are better. The car looks great though!
  7. Yes, sounds like it's time...new ones aren't too terribly expensive though. Just consider it maintenance at this point! :)
  8. That's LA for you...I think "traffic jam" whenever someone says "405". Toyotas are incredible, aren't they? Lots and lots of miles, especially on some of those pickups. Send the pics when you hit that 300k at Corona del Mar!
  9. Welcome to our forums...great first posts! Looks like a fun project. I can't believe it's in that kind of running condition after sitting so long!
  10. I haven't driven a Sienna in years, but I think I remember the brakes being a bit softer than in the cars.
  11. Welcome! Are you referring to the little quiet beep, or does your horn actually honk on your car?
  12. Sorry...not ignoring you, just no idea if the Nissan motor will work for the Toyota.... Sounds like an interesting project though.

    Tires

Yeah, I think that's what I'm going to do...I haven't driven much in the last few months, just back and forth to work, so I'm putting off that $1100 or so purchase as long as possible, but I'll need them soon.
  14. Congrats...sounds like it'll be perfect for you with all that cargo space! Great little SUV!
  15. I don't know what the official time is, but I would think something in the 7 second range.
  16. There was some issue with a sulfur smell and fuel grade...have you tried using a higher grade of fuel? There may be a TSB on your car, but as it's a 2006, it will probably not be covered under warranty.
  17. I think you can get parts of the manual here: http://www.toyotaownersonline.com/?siteid=too_toyota_btmnav_ownershomepage I think you'll need your VIN to set it up.

    Tires

Hmm...I'll take a look. I didn't see that tire in my size, but maybe I missed it.
