wasn;t sure if the ES and Avalon were related or not. thought the ES was a Camry in a fancy frock :D

there have been several reports of this sort of surging in Lexus auto boxes over on the US Lexus Owners Club. have a read of these posts surging in ES300 surging in an LS400 not related to your model I know - sorry :) but there is some good advice and reading in those threads ;)
