77liftback

Hi, I'm new here, and semi-new to the whole toyota scene. I just got a couple of '77 Liftback Celica GTs (parts car and project), and I'm interested in doing an engine swap in it. I'm really interested in a 3S-GTE/5S-FE hybrid swap, but I'm told that'll be near-impossible since the 3S is from a front engine, front drive car, but I've heard of people doing it in Lexus IS-300s. The other engine swap I'm interested in (blasphemy, I know) is a Ford 5.0 V8 swap. It's a horrid thought to most, but I think the car just looks like it's wanting a V8 swap. Any help here?
