  1. I have a 1987 ae82 5 door hatchback with what I believe is a 4 cylinder 4a-lc transverse engine carburated I was asked will this fit into a 1987 sr5 from someone who overheated there engine and wanted to do a simple direct drop in no hassle swap Arent these the same engines even though one is in a rear wheel drive an done is in a front wheel drive The engine in there is a 4ac Are these exactly the same? Is this a very simple swap Someone who knows EXACTLY please answer this
  2. Ok let me throw this question out Since i have a 1987 Toyota corolla with front wheel drive 4alc enigne can someone with a 1987 Toyota Corolla rear wheel drive drop this engine in with no problem? Arent the engines the same even though one is in a front wheel drive car an done is in a rear wheel drive car? So is it a simple straight foward drop in?
  3. Sorry Its very rare that ANY 21 year old car has its air conditioning systen intact That will be up to the new owner!
  4. What the hell Inside storage really does help a car! Heres a nother! and and
  5. Ok Looks like the weathers finally warming up Just went to look at the corolla Ill be taking it out of storage at the end of this month! Heres a picture of the engine bay i just took! I believe its the original 4a
  6. I will be placing the car away in storage in a couple of weeks to protect it from the northeast weather So if anyone is interested let me know At this point the car wil not be parted If it comes to that point the parting will be in spring if i still have it!
  7. You two can continue talking here and if you know anyone in the New york City area that could use this by all means let me know!
  8. Yes it is an older ae82 frontwheel drive model Leighcm I would tend to agree with B R T Title is not salvage Its just an original unrestored automatic 20 year old Toyota Corolla with a lot of good parts still in it! I believe some one could make use of it instead of wastin tons of time at any salvage yard looking for miscellaneous parts! The enigne itself with only 111k miles has a stamp on the valve cover with the number and letters 4A Thats not sheetrock though just some reflective house foil insulation to help reflect the suns heat away from the interiors vinyl parts
  9. It is a matter of opionion but the opinion weighs toward rear wheel drive!
  10. what is the price location and an email that has not been disconnected?
  11. Ok the title and description ALmost says it all The automatic tranmsissions reverse gear simply doesnt work anymore but no known problems exist with the engine or any of the foward transmission gears This is a 5 door liftback Similar to Nova 1985 1986 1987 1988 This particular Corolla ae82 model was manufactured 1984 1985 1986 1987 Yes front wheel drive Selling as is Yes she starts runs and drives And yes she is a rare car to find all in one piece And yes if youre brave you can drive her away! youre reading it right 399 Just clickon the pic!
