My first full week of driving and I got 46.5mpg. That included some coasting down hill, but I think I can do better. So, I am looking at AMSOIL 0W-30 100% Synthetic Series 2000, http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/tso.aspx. However, this other website (which also sells oil), says "TOYOTA Echo engine which was NOT originally engineered to use the SAE 5W-20 motor oil", http://www.synlube.com/sae5w-20.htm (very last line). What do you recommend for the best MPG and engine protection? Also, what is the recommended oil for the manual transmission?

Now, don't be too hard on them. It does have a CD button. Anyway, it has a happy ending. They are going to send me a check for $250 to buy and install a radio.

Do I have a cd player or just a cd controller? The quickest way I could think of getting a photo up was at my yahoo profile, Poormansgeo Profile The car dealership claimed it was a cd player, but I can't find how to insert a cd. The model number on the player is A56411. Thank for your help! Ben

I just purchased a 2002 Echo. It has 80,000 miles on it. Seeking advice on avoiding common problems. For example, if rust underbody rust is common, then I need to run down to Ziebart for an underbody treatment. Or, if window and door seal leaks are common, then I need to plan on replacing my seals.
