  1. Like Azza said vary your driving, especially for the first 200km's it's important to not wrap your car in cotton wool. Also, don't break in your engine by doing all the mileage on highways. Don't thrash it, but don't baby it either. And despite what the dealer may say, it is a good idea to change the oil at the first 1000km adjustment.
  2. Yeah TEIN is good, so too is Eibach, K-Mac and Lovells
  3. Are you just looking for looks or are you also seeking improved handling. If you're seeking looks only, A set of sports springs does the job ( And does also bring some improvements to cornering ). If you want handling, on top of springs you should look into dampers and sway bars too. Usually this will only affect the warranty on the components that you change but not the remainder of the car.
  4. The starting could be a fuel delivery problem. A handful of Australian Corolla's have had this problem and it seemed to have been fixed when Toyota cleaned out the fuel lines on these cars. I recommend you run your cars on Premium high octane fuel for a couple of weeks and see if this makes a difference. Sometimes this is a very easy fix. In regards to the cornering, the car has a very soft rear sway bar / stabiliser as standard. Even when I put in stiffer springs the car still had alot of bodyroll when cornering, however, when I changed the rear sway bar for a thicker/stiffer TRD item ( 18mm standard - 22mm new ), it has reduced the bodyroll and the car corners so much better.
  5. I have a Japan built Australian Model, 1zz-fe powered Corolla which is mechanically identical to those you have there. I've had mine for 2 years now and I drive it pretty hard, never had any squeeks, leaks, rattles or bumps. It's a solid little car.
  6. If you haven't already done so, you can also replace your front seats with lighter items.
  7. Speak to a suspension specialist (Someone who builds/works on rally cars is your best bet), see if you can get custom aluminium components to replace some of the standard parts such as suspension arms etc.
  8. I'm Carlo from Melbourne Australia. I'm a very proud owner of a 2003 ZZE122R Corolla. When I purchased it new I said I was going to keep it relatively standard, two weeks later I started modding and I'm still going !
