I have an '86 Camry and was having this issue for a while. A temporary fix -- until you can get it into the shop -- is (when you are at a stop) pop it into neutral and rev the engine lightly (not excessively!!) and let off, rev again right before you put it back into gear, then take off. I hope that helps!
