  1. I recently purchased a 2019 Avalon Hybrid Limited with 22K miles. Prior to this vehicle, I drove a 2013 and then a 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid. My question is, I always heard that Hybrid vehicles perform better in city traffic than on the highway. This was always the case with my Fusion. However, I find that with my Avalon, if I drive on the highway for most of the trip, I can achieve over 50mpg for that trip. But the minute I get off the highway and start driving on local streets with traffic lights, my fuel economy can drop down to 27-28mpg. I end up with an overall tank at about 42 mpg. Anybody else experiencing this as well?
