  1. We have a 2015 Highlander with the 3.5 L, V-6 that will tow my bass boat with zero issues. Been considering going to a newer version, mainly for the safety features that are not on the 2015. I have a concern about the ability of the 4 cylinder to accomplish the towing task and still be a good long-term, no hassle ride. As background, the current ride has 78,000 miles and other than replacing the crappy OEM tires at 35 k miles, and oil and filter changes, this vehicle has not cost me another penny for maintenance. Oh, I forgot about the wiper blades! Finally had to replace the rear wiper blade at 76,000 miles--it just didn't hole up, lol.
  2. My wife's 2015 Highlander XLE will soon roll over to 67,000 miles. It was purchased in May of 2015. Oil & filter changes are done every 5K (or once per year if it's not driven that many miles). Tires are rotated and balanced on the same interval. The vehicle has been virtually bullet-proof and the only chronic issue is a squeak when the driver side window travels the last inch or so to close. I'm looking for suggestions from long time Highlander owners as to which maintenance items are a MUST do and SHOULD do at this stage in the life of the vehicle. I have never owned a vehicle that has been this trouble free and want to make sure it stays that way. Thanks!
