2000 Celica GT

My son is wanting to sell his beloved Celica GT. The car needs a new engine. It had an oil leak, but eventually the engine seized. He had wanted to have the engine replaced, but none of us are mechanics enough to replace an engine, we can't even find an engine for it. It is white, and has a fin on the back. New tires, brakes, headlight modules, great sound system. Son is in the US Air Force, now and we just don't have time. The car is a 2000 Toyota Celica GT. Pictures as requested! Hi! My son has a 2000 Celica GT, that he just loves. It's has an oil leak, that was easy to maintain, by checking the oil once a week. But, he forgot to add oil before a 30 minute errand in town. So, the engine siezed. Ugh. Our mechanic quoted $3500 for a used engine. Is there any other route to go? Where does someone get a new engine? He loves this car, and is so upset with himself. He's just joined the Air Force, and needs this car! Thank you so much! Susan
