  1. This is a good starting point to find the oil type, capacity, filter that fits and the owner's manual for any Camry between 1997 thru 2023. Easy to use menu too. https://www.searchforparts.com/toyota-camry-oil-filter-type/
  2. if you really need a vehicle that is reliable and fast, then I would say no, but as an extra car and a hobby to learn new things to restore, then yea. Either way you have it and good situation to learn new things with tutorials. Here is a handy sheet of all the types and quantity of fluids and filters for the engine if/when you get to that: if the engine is a 2.0 www.searchforparts.com/oil-change/toyota-2001-highlander-2.4l-2az-fe if engine is a 3.0 https://www.searchforparts.com/oil-change/toyota-2001-highlander-3.0l-1mz-fe You did not mention how many miles on the vehicle, that would also be a factor, if over 200k, I would move on. if less, use the synthetics in the links and you should be ok. Hope you found this useful.
  3. if you are looking for an air filter then I use these products to help gas mileage: https://www.searchforparts.com/oil-change/toyota-2013-highlander-2.7l-1ar-fe (if you have a 2.7L) https://www.searchforparts.com/oil-change/toyota-2013-highlander-3.5l-2gr-fxe (if you have a 3.5L) also here are some roof racks that are worth looking at: https://www.carid.com/2013-toyota-highlander-roof-racks/ hope this helps!
  4. look in the manual, I doubt it is 3000 miles, that is from way back in the day to make Jiffy Lube money. Most vehicles are 5000+ unless you are using a low quality conventional oil "Synthetic oil usually should be changed every 7,500 - 10,000 miles. Toyota recommends getting your 2018 Toyota Highlander oil & filter changed every 3,000-5,000 miles for conventional oil." taken from https://www.courtesytoyota.com/2018-toyota-highlander-oil-change.htm#:~:text=Synthetic oil usually should be,5%2C000 miles for conventional oil.
  5. Hi, I stopped going to the dealer and I use this for my 2.5L 2016 Camry https://www.searchforparts.com/oil-change/toyota-2016-camry-2.5l-2ar-fe the dealer refused to put it in so I either do it myself or order and take it to my local mechanic. I don't try other oil weights except for what is recommended for the Camry in the manual. I use this oil because I only change it 1 time per year, been doing it since 2005 when I had a 2001 Camry that was burning up oil for no reason and this synthetic oil solved the issue.
