  1. Yes, I was surprised because the tube was dripping, and it was dripping at a rate that seemed kinda' normal, but it did turn out to be clogged up inside the very top of the drain tube, and I think that it was more a bit of the insulation that keeps the evaporator from jiggling and banging around inside the enclosure than anything like dirt or dust. That insulation does go bad over time, and sheds some material. (I got all this information only after I finally got my mechanic friend to look at it. It was diagnosed and repaired in twenty minutes) When that was cleared out, I dropped about a pint of water on the floor, and after that, the drain tube practically RUNS water, not drips it. It appears to be THAT efficient. Also, since this car was bought used, and I had no experience with Camry, I noticed that the climate control immediately became more accurate, the compressor cycled more, and the temperature dial was more useful. And, since I could run the ac constantly, the carpet was dried out effectively by the dryer air.
  2. Posted this under another title elsewhere, I have trouble believing I'm the only one who's AC is having this problem... The AC evaporator enclosure is either leaking through a crack, or the enclosure itself is SO COLD, that it has ITS OWN condensation. At any rate, I've got an AC system that drips water into the footwell on the driver's side, the footwell on the passenger's side, and I'm getting water puddling in my cabin. Any thoughts where to maybe try to FIND a pinhole leak, or crack in the enclosure? ANYONE? ANYONE? ANYONE? :-)
  3. I think my AC condensor is draining incorrectly. Instead of dripping on the ground, like all cars do, I think it is dripping, accidentally, into a frame area, and then seeping, running, or 'wicking' into the cabin, and puddling under the driver side rear seat footwell, and the driver's footwell, too. Having no experience with THIS type of service issue, (I'm MUCH more experienced with engine, suspension, and other mechanical stuff), I thought I'd throw this one out and say "Where do I look?" Not familiar with the system at all. Jack up the thing and go digging? Start under the dash? THESE are the kind of tips I could use. I just don't know 'best' place to start...
  4. Wow. Didn't get one answer? Well, I dont think we're leaking anything, I think our AC condensors are draining incorrectly. Instead of dripping on the ground, like all cars do, I think they are dripping, accidentally, into a frame area, and then seeping, running, or 'wicking' into the cabin.
